MY BURNING-BUSH ENCOUNTERS...
I had a Moses BURNING-BUSH encounter with God at a our churches 'COUNTRY campground' (around 1973)... Standing at the alter, God's anointing filled & flooded me, feeling like 10,000 volts of electricity surging through my being, involuntarily shaking me by His mighty power. My eldest brother Hansel was standing behind me - he told me afterwards, "You were actually bouncing 12 inches off the ground, like a bouncing ball." At this holy campground site I spent much time alone in the woods, in the tangible presence of God. God did a mighty SHAKING in my life - whatever He 'SHOOK out of me & into me' radically changed my life, culminating in 25 wonderful years of 'fruitful full-time ministry'. The USA financial crash of 2006 so strained our itinerate ministry, requiring I go back into Real Estate to support my family, leaving me feeling very sad & confused. I felt like Moses must have felt in the wilderness, OUT of my calling & purpose.
My second Moses BURNING-BUSH encounter - less dramatic, but more directional... God connected us with a wonderful East Tampa church (Christ Centered Church) that have loved & embraced us, opening the door for regular ministry, reigniting the fire of God in a greater way than I've ever experienced before, with an insatiable appetite to daily spend long & glorious hours prayerfully MEDITATING in the Word, with written 'revelation knowledge' bursting out, for 'Teaching & Training' materials, like I've never experienced before - Eph 1:15-23.
A WORD FROM THE LORD recently given to Marlene (whose been on a 'healing to health' recovery journey, spending many hours a day in the promises & presence of God)… Isa 43:18-19 (NAU) "Do not call to mind the former things, or ponder things of the past. 19 "Behold, I will do something NEW, NOW it will spring forth...I will even make a ROADWAY in the WILDERNESS, RIVERS in the DESERT. |
